It’s been a long time coming but we have proudly installed a new overhead shelter to protect some of our best inventory. After a disastrous fire in 2017 we struggled to keep much of our inventory dry, a big problem when it comes to couches, tables and all types of furniture. With this new storage area we will be able to accept and divert more valuable materials and give them a new life in Auckland.

 

The Tipping Point moved forward with their next Zero Waste Initiative – a Zero Waste Zone of our own. Now our customers can purchase hand, laundry and all-purpose soap in bulk, no more wasted plastic packaging! In addition this zone will have free glass jars and other reusable containers for purchase – all of which would have ended up in landfill had we not rescued them first

Bea, also known as the ‘High Priestess of Zero Waste’  and author of the bestseller ‘Zero Waste Home’ gave away all of her tricks starting with the 5 R’s which help her fit her annual waste into a small mason jar.
